About Evan

I have been teaching for 10 years in Los Angeles and Knoxville and maintain an active teaching studio. I love working with students and families while focusing on nurturing students’ musical talents with a patient and personalized approach. I emphasize expression and musicality, offering lessons for all levels, from beginners to advanced players. The studio is well-equipped to enhance the learning and creative environment, aiming to help each student achieve their best and find joy in music.

I started playing the piano at the age of twelve. I developed a passion for performing, and by seventeen I was performing some of the most difficult repertoire written for the piano. I participated in master classes taught by Dr. Sam Rotman, Dr. Robert Ward, Professor Adam Wibrowski, president of the European Chopin Society, and Dr. Robert Lehrbaumer. I won First Place in the 2013 and 2015 CAPMT Piano Sonata Competition in Los Angeles and placed in several other competitions in California. I have also performed in many international festivals and venues in many countries including Musical Bridges in St. Petersburg, Russia; Concerto Fest Europa in Austria and Slovokia, and several tours in Albania, Croatia, Israel, Italy, Canada, and many states in the U.S, including Carnegie Hall in NYC in 2019.

Engaging Piano Lessons for the Mind and Heart

Learning piano is a fulfilling journey of discovery and joy. From basics like keys and notes to mastering complex pieces, scales, and techniques, playing the piano offers a rich musical experience. It enhances cognitive skills, patience, and emotional intelligence. Piano playing connects people through performances and sharing progress. I hold studio classes once a month where students perform for each other.
